About this product
The La Jolla Knife Junior Woods Set (9-12 Years) includes a 1/3 wood (15° loft) and a 5/7 wood (21° loft), designed for older junior golfers. These right-handed clubs have graphite shafts with a junior flex, built for growing players. Made in the USA, the set offers a lightweight option suitable for children aged 9-12. At $39.99, it provides two woods at a bargain price, though you'll need additional clubs for a full set.
Our take
My 11-year-old has been using these La Jolla Knife woods, and they work well for his skill level. The junior flex and graphite shafts make swinging easy, and the lofts are decent for getting distance. They're clearly built for the older junior range—the length fits him better than a younger kid's set. For $40, you can't complain, but it's just two clubs; we had to buy irons and a putter separately. Being USA-made adds some confidence. One downside: the grips feel a bit small, even for a child. Also, if your kid is left-handed, look elsewhere. Overall, a good budget way to fill the wood slots in a junior bag.
